2/3/14 BIG BAD HOLLYWOOD QUASHED LITTLE JONI's FAITH-BASED MOVIE SONG? HELLO HOLLYWOOD,R U PROUD of YOURSELVES? SHAME ON U! (I've heard discussion of this on the radio,etc,& some so-called "neutral" parties such as those on NPR discuss it & say it seemed unusual that the Academy would do this (acknowledging that everybody plugs their film & songs et al) while at the same time they refer to the singer as "some quadriplegic Christian" as if she's almost an anonymous unknown when in fact she's on the radio regularly & also speaks at conferences regularly,among other things. Those of us in the Christian community know this "quadriplegic" affectionately as Joni (pronounced "Johnny") and she's "been around" for a LONG time (longer than most of the people speaking about her & this issue) & the NPR people should know better than to refer to her in such a vague,generalized, manner. It doesn't surprise me that liberal NPR would try to straddle the line in the liberal direction in this case.
