3/21/14 "NOAH" the MOVIE NEVER MENTIONS "GOD" by NAME ?! (I haven't seen the movie myself,but Breitbart says they don't mention God by name...hmmm,..what should we make of that? Is hollywood trying to "please everybody" too much, & thereby please nobody? Do they think that by omitting the name of God,the atheists will be appeased? Should we,as Christians,try to appease unbelievers by speaking in "generalities" (ie a "supreme being",a "creator",et al,rather than God,Jesus,Holy Spirit? ) ? I'm not sure we are authentic to our beliefs if we remove too much for the sake of those who disbelieve. I do believe we need to make our message contextual to our audience & culture,but how much do we compromise in so doing? Ultimately,you must consult your conscience in conversation with God,as to what He would approve of,or not. I pray that this movie will lead to bringing unbelievers to Christ regardless of whether Hollywood compromised too much.
